The PF
The Progressive Fraction (PF) is based on outspoken motives. First of all, our believes are very much linked within our name: we are progressive and active. Not only are we committed on a local scale, within the university, but we’re also represented on a national level through different meetings with other students of Boards of Advice. Next to our task to be committed with the decisions of the Board of Executives, we like to use our right of initiative. This makes that we regularly come up with new, fresh ideas that improve the quality of our university.
Way of Working
In the proces of achieving our goals we’re not blind for the larger picture. We like to contemplate the side-effects as well as the consequences before we to come to a decent opinion. One of the examples is our idea to improve the layout of the diploma’s. We started of with just that goal, but eventually we decided to have a closer look at the complete process around receiving your bull.
We like to enter a discussion open-minded, but will always do our best to consider the case from different angles. We’re critical in a way that we always want to be clear and consistent about the students motives. We dare to show our teeth and aren’t afraid to come up with outspoken ideas if we think that we should mention these.
If you want a progressive party, rich of initiatives, with a clear position and daring to give a signal, then vote for the Progressive Fraction (PF)!
What's more to the PF?
Organisation
The Progressive Fraction is more than only a fraction in the board of advise. There’s also an association of students who contribute on different levels and in different ways to improve out university. They focus on education and other themes in which students are involved with.
Focus
To keep you updated about all our activities and progress, we montly distrubute our newsletter ‘Focus’, which is available only in Dutch. In this paper you can find the different subjects we’ve been working on and what our goals will be on shorter interval. In our Focus we can describe our actual plans and vision more detailled.
Website
If you don't want to wait for our Focus, then have a look on our wellmaintained website, which you found already. We post letters, notions and announcements about meetings. Mostly these are in Dutch.
Meetings with interested students
When needed, there’s a meeting for the members of the PF. Here, new inspiring ideas fly across. This is how the PF stays updated about all the activities going on at the university and the ideas that live with the students. If there are problems, you can always contact the PF.
Wide network
To stay updated about developments at your faculty we’re in contact with the boards of advises at the different faculties. Often there are cross linking informational meetings planned where different boards get together and exchange vital information. Also our own PF association is a good way to get to know what’s playing among the students.
Continuity & Experience
We think it’s important to learn from each other. That’s why we swap places in turn. There’re always new members mixed with a few members who have some experience already. This is how we can guarantee that we can represent you to the fullest and that our members know what’s going on as soon as they enter the Board.
